A Trial Run for you and your Nanny 

Hopefully things have gone well and your candidate has exceeded your expectations. You now want to give the candidate a trial run in your home, this time with your children present.
This trial run will give you the opportunity to watch the interactions between the nanny or babysitter with your children to really determine her suitability, and is also a great time to give her an orientation of the house. It is important that you look at the ways the nanny tries to engage your children, and the response from your children. Knowing she may be being observed can more often than not change ha person’s behavior so make sure that you not only observe this interaction up close but also step back and watch from a distance to get a much more realistic picture of her suitability.

When this trial run is over, pay her for her time and say you will be in touch in due course. You are not making any promises to anyone.
